About Stonehouse Skincare
Crafted by Hand, Rooted in Nature
Welcome! I'm Annie McRoberts—engineer, former paralegal, full-time farmer, and the maker behind Stonehouse Skincare.
In 2005, I was simply looking for a meaningful side project—and a way to ease my son’s eczema. After reading an article about women making soap, something clicked. I was drawn in by the science, the creativity, and the opportunity to make something truly good for the skin.
What began as a personal mission has grown into a thriving natural skincare brand. Stonehouse Skincare is named after our family’s stone farmhouse, passed down through generations—just like the values that guide my work: simplicity, honesty, and care.
What Makes Stonehouse Different?
Every product I create is made in small batches using plant-based oils, essential oils, natural clays, and botanicals—many of which are grown right here on our farm.
A unique hallmark of my skincare line is the use of tallow from our own grass-fed beef. This traditional ingredient gives our soaps their creamy texture and deeply nourishing properties—especially helpful for dry, sensitive, or aging skin.
I never use synthetic fragrances, colors, parabens, or sulfates—only ingredients I trust and use myself.

More Than a Product
Creating these products is more than a business—it's a joy. I love connecting with customers at markets, sharing what I’ve learned, and hearing your stories. Every kind word, every returning customer, fuels my commitment to this work.
A quick tip: To extend the life of your handmade soap, use a well-draining soap dish and let it dry completely between uses.
Thank you for visiting and supporting Stonehouse Skincare. I hope you find something here that makes your skin feel loved and your routine feel a little more grounded.
